Microgaming Poker Network (MPN) Announced Closure In 2020
Online gambling giant Microgaming is one of the oldest and largest operators and developers of casino games. They offer complete online casino solutions, and their poker network (MPN) is one of the largest and oldest in the world. However, after a lengthy and careful assessment, the company has now announced that the poker network, doesn't fit into company strategy anymore and is no longer viable to operate. Having said this, poker is not going to be excluded completely, although there is no further information as of yet. They have decided to close the poker network in the second or third quarter of 2020.
Players can continue playing online poker at the casinos who offer access to the poker network, and they can also withdraw their funds as normal. Nothing will change until the network is closed. Microgaming has also said that they will assist their partners to transition smoothly into a new poker network, as all operators have expressed their wish to continue offering online poker to their users.
The MPN Poker Tour in Malta will also commence as planned. Players who have won their seats are welcome to participate in the poker tournament, which is held between the 15th and 22nd of October 2019 in Malta. Microgaming will make sure every players gets the service they expect.
