HRK – Croatian Kuna Casinos

Croatia flag

It can be fun playing at an online casino, whether your favourites are slots, casino games or live casino games. Nowadays, you can find casino and live casino promotions that might offer free spins, a match bonus, a cashback bonus, and more.

Before you begin, you will need to find the right casino that accepts Croatian kuna ↱. This means one that is licensed and regulated by a respected regulator like the UKGC or MGA. Regulated online mobile casinos must ensure player protection, fairness and transparency and ensure random game outcomes.

Croatian players will probably want to play at casinos that accept Croatian kuna. Not having to convert your kune will save you time, hassle, and currency conversion fees. Although finding online casinos accepting HRK may not be as common as online casinos accepting EUR, USD, NOK, or GBP – they do exist.

Online Casinos for players with Croatian Kuna

If you enjoy gambling in Croatia, then we can recommend several casinos that accept HRK currency. For each casino that we list, we provide you with individual online casino reviews.

Many of these are low wagering casino bonus casinos with some of the lowest wagering requirements. They can include a casino cashback bonus, deposit bonus or free spins. Additionally, we have sections discussing their slots and casino games, casino payment methods, mobile casino, loyalty, VIP program and customer support.

About the Croatian Kuna

Since 1994, the Croatian kuna has been the legal tender of the European country of Croatia and issued by the Croatian National Bank.

The kuna was a unit of currency in more than one Slavic state until early in the 15th century. During the Middle Ages, Croatia used many different currencies. The kuna replaced the Croatian dinar in 1991 and was pegged to the Deutsch mark, followed by the euro.

Croatia is part of the European Union, and they will look to join the eurozone area at some point. Still, the timing of this changeover would seem to be on hold indefinitely.

FAQ

The gambling market in Croatia is legal and regulated since 2010. Both Croatians and tourists are permitted to play at local land-based casinos found at tourist resorts in coastal areas and hotels. At the time of writing, there are roughly 22 casinos.

If you're a local gambling operator, you'll need a casino license from the Croatian regulator. There is also a license requirement to provide online gambling, issued by the Ministry of Finance.

Hrvatska Lutrija ↱ is Croatia's state-run, national lottery, where you can find keno, sports betting, bingo and lottery games. Since the beginning of January 2019, authorities now require that offshore online gambling operators register with them.

This means that gambling in Croatia is legal, so you'll probably find your favourite Bally Wulff, Gamomat, Elk Studios, Merkur slots and more! You can also find both live casino games and online casino games if you enjoy playing poker, baccarat, roulette or blackjack. Most online casino games and slots free to play until you're ready to play for real money.

As online gambling in Croatia is legal, there's no need to worry about having your winnings confiscated or your favourite offshore casino's ISP blocked.

Still, you should not sign-up at the first online casino that you find. The first thing you should ask is if the casino is licensed and regulated and by whom. Not all licenses are equal, with some jurisdictions having weaker perceived controls than others.

Fortunately, there are a few good regulators in Europe, including the Spelinspektionen (Sweden), MGA (Malta) and the UKGC (United Kingdom). Signing up at a licensed online casino by one or more of these will give you the comfort of knowing that the casino is expected to comply with stringent regulations.

Online casinos that fail to follow their regulating requirements risk warnings, fines, license suspensions and/or license cancellations. You can expect that the casinos that we market are all licensed and regulated, trustworthy and enjoy a generally good reputation with players. All the game outcomes are certified random, so there is no need to worry about playing games that cheat.

While finding casinos accepting euros, British pounds sterling or US dollars may be easier than Croatia casinos with HRK currency; it's not impossible.

We've listed a number of these mobile online casinos on our page. Fortunately, many of our casinos accept a wide variety of currencies, so if you hold an alternative currency, you may be able to play with it instead.

Not all casinos will allow you to choose your currency as some are determined by country. Also, remember that if you've specified a currency at sign-up, you will not likely be allowed to change it afterwards.

If an online casino does not accept Croatian Kune, then another option would be to exchange your kuna for another more liquid currency. We don't advise this because of conversion fees and possibly the limitation of payment methods that allow deposits and withdrawals in that currency for your country.

Also, consider that exchanging kune into a  foreign currency, also means that your winnings are exposed to foreign exchange movements.

Online casinos with Croatian kuna do exist, including the ones that you can find here at FortunaOnlineCasinos.com. Just remember that you will need to specify HRK as your player account currency when registering. You'll be able to play all your favourite slots, table casino games and live casino games in Croatian kune.

Nowadays, it isn't easy to find an online casino that does not offer a sign-up bonus, free spins, cashback bonus or other online or live promotion. If you're a new player, a welcome bonus is a great way to get familiar with games and the casino. If you're depositing in kune, you'll likely qualify for a casino bonus when you play in Croatia with kune.

There are several casino payment methods for depositing kune to your casino player account. These can include credit cards which can be a fast, easy and convenient method. We recommend against borrowing from your credit card provider to deposit money. Instead, only use credit cards if they are the most convenient method. Credit cards may also allow you to withdraw money from your player account, but you should check to be sure.

There are also kuna online casinos that accept deposits using e-wallets such as Skrill, EcoPayz and Jeton. All e-wallets will also allow you to withdraw money from your player account to deposit back into your wallet. You may also be able to use a Paysafecard voucher.

While the available options vary between casinos, they are all safe, secure and generally fast. Make sure you are familiar with any associated fees if any. You can find more available payment methods in our overview.
